Advising and Guidance

Guidance is considered one of Empire College’s School of Law most important services. Personal guidance begins at the moment a prospective student indicates an interest in Empire College School of Law and continues throughout and beyond the term of education. Our goal is to support our students and assist them in reducing any obstacles that might interfere with their studies.

Educational Advising: The Dean of the Law School is available to assist students with academic advising. Any student having difficulty with a particular class or scheduling should see the Dean.

Study Groups and Instructional Assistance: Empire College School of Law fosters study groups and offers writing workshops for students to develop their IRAC structure (Issue, Rule, Analysis, and Conclusion) in writing exam answers. Professors often are available outside of class hours to meet with students.

Job Placement: Empire’s Registrar works with graduates to provide them with information on current job openings in the legal field. Our contacts are based on employer relationships built over 50 years.

Law Library

The law library is an integral part of Empire College School of Law. The library consists of California, Federal and other court reference works, reports, statutes and digests, as well as a growing collection of law reviews and treatises. Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw computerized legal research databases are available.

The library hours are as follows:

Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Courtrooms on Campus

Two Sonoma County Superior Courtrooms are housed within the Empire College building. In the evening, the two courtrooms are utilized as classrooms for Empire College School of Law’s Moot Court and Trial Practice classes.

Alicia Cronbach, Esq.

(Class of 2006)
One of the advantages of Empire as a night vs. traditional law school is the real-life experience that most students have between college and law school. Being a second-career lawyer, you bring a lot more value to the table and to a prospective employer than you may appreciate.

Jacqueline Rosario, Esq

(Class of 2014)
I wanted to be an attorney because I wanted to make a difference in this world, and I feel that I am doing that. It is very rewarding, and I am blessed to be living my dream. I recommend to everybody considering law school that if you want to do this and have the will to do it, do it.

Chris Van Nuys

Operations Manager, LEMO USA, Inc. (Class of 2019)
Empire Law School provided the instruction, guidance, and motivation that I needed to pass the California State Bar Examination on the first try, despite the rigors of managing a full-time career and family commitments in parallel. I would absolutely recommend Empire Law School to anyone looking for relevant and masterful instruction in the subjects of law.
