About Empire College School of Law

The Empire Difference

At Empire College School of Law, we take an innovative approach to legal education. For more than 40 years, we have offered rigorous evening courses to future lawyers and other professionals who benefit from an advanced understanding of the law. This is because our school offers both the traditional Juris Doctor degree, as well as a Master of Legal Studies. We are proud to say that several alumni from our Juris Doctor program are now judiciary members in the counties of Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Merced, and beyond.

We owe much of our success to our professors, a talented team of experienced judges and attorneys from the North Bay area. By teaching within their areas of practice, our instructors can easily illustrate how the law applies to everyday life. This approach also enables our faculty to build a participatory environment that is both personalized and professional.

In addition, Empire College School of Law has a proud history of community outreach. Since its doors opened in 2005, our Small Claims Advisory has served over 25,000 clients in Sonoma County. We also provide free legal counsel to elderly, disabled, and low-income citizens through six diverse law clinics. These philanthropic traditions have earned us national recognition on former President Obama’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for several years in a row.

Empire College School of Law provides comprehensive legal training to aspiring lawyers and professionals of all kinds. Our coursework is taught by practicing judges and attorneys and supplemented with hands-on practicum.
