Santa Rosa, CA—Patrick Grattan, senior attorney in the Geary, Shea, O’Donnell, Grattan & Mitchell firm’s family law division and an experienced trial lawyer, has joined the faculty of Empire College School of Law as a Professor of Community Property.
Mr. Grattan is a past president of the Redwood Empire Trial Lawyers Association and a past director of the Sonoma County Bar Association. He is an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and currently chairs the Sonoma County Family Law Steering Committee. Mr. Grattan is also a frequent panelist at family lawyer education programs.
Founded in 1973, Empire College School of Law has consistently achieved a high cumulative Bar Exam pass rate and has received numerous awards in the statewide Moot Court Competition. Its alumni comprise approximately 25 percent of the Sonoma County Bar and include 13 members of the California judiciary in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Lassen, Merced, and Calaveras Counties. Empire has small sections and class sizes that encourage a strong sense of community, accomplished faculty who are practicing attorneys or judges, and an array of clinical education opportunities for students to acquire practical experience applying the law and working with clients.
