School of Law History

Empire College School of Law has been providing a rigorous and quality Juris Doctor education with evening classes for students wishing to pursue careers in the field of law for more than 40 years. Our alumni include members of the judiciary in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Merced and Lassen counties, and we are very proud of the accomplishments of all of our graduates. Beginning in the Fall of 2013, a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies was added to the School of Law’s offerings.

Our professors are practicing attorneys and judges from the North Bay area who teach in their specialty areas. With classroom settings that are personalized and professional, they use their practical experience to build a participatory atmosphere and make the realities of law come alive.

Empire College School of Law also has a proud history of community outreach. Currently, students participate in a variety of clinics offering free legal services to elderly, disabled and low-income citizens. In addition, Empire School of Law was awarded the Small Claims Advisory service for Sonoma County in 2005, through which students have assisted more than 23,000 clients with a variety of legal matters.
